In 1984, when Ivy, a local nurse, mentioned to her brother in law, Wayne, that her patients loved receiving gifts of fruit rather than flowers, the idea of making personalized fruit baskets was created. Wayne had spent eight years managing grocery store produce departments and has a good eye for selecting the fruit for the baskets. Wayne's wife, Linda was recruited to help create the baskets from produce selected fresh daily by Wayne. Over the years, the fruit baskets have expanded to include more personal touches such as candies, cheeses, small toys or packaged gourmet foods. Whether its a birthday, anniversary, new baby or a holiday, Wayne and Linda will personally select each item for your gift basket.
